Selecting
Your System Components
There
are five main steps to selecting the individual components
your new Photo ID Card System will consist of; each of which
our account representatives will be happy to assist you
with.
Step
1 - Determine Your Card Production Goals
The
first step in the selection of your new Photo ID Card System
is to determine the specific, overall goals of your card
production program.
Q:
What is your anticipated annual card production volume?
Q: Will this volume of cards be spread out over the entire
year or will you have major peak periods of production,
such as might be expected during fall registration at a
university?
Q: What are the specific security needs for your card program?
Do you need to implement additional security measures such
as using a hologram or holographic laminate on your card?
Q: Do you require the ability to magnetically encode your
cards or plan on using smart card technology?
Q: Will all of your ID cards be printed from one location
or will you require the ability to capture users photos
and information from more than one remote location?
Q: Do you need to print on both sides (at once) of your
ID card?
Q: What is your total budget for your system?
Step
2 - Select Your Photo ID Card Printer

your overall goals for your card program have been determined,
you can proceed to the selection of your Card Printer.
